Ariella turns Eight!

One thing I know is that my kids LOVE their birthday! I have made a big deal about their birthday’s since they were 1 and they have become just as excited as I when it comes to celebrating it. Ariella has been asking to do martial arts for a while and I thought having her party at Excel Marital Arts would be a good idea as we were inviting the entire class. Well clearly her friends were just as excited as we had 23 children attend! Now I needed a theme and when researching I found a lot of Kung Fu Panda. That inspired the panda themed party and we went to some of our favorite shops to pull it all together.
It started with an invite and these Panda Invites by Rosa Pearson Design were perfect. I love shopping on etsy and having a instant download I can send off to London Drugs to print all from my computer. Be sure to check out Rosa Pearsons other invitations as she was amazing and quick to work with!

Next up I went online to Joonie and Joe who has the cutest party decor items!! It’s a one stop shop and I’m so happy with the items we used. These adorable X cups and plates were the perfect colors and could be used for so many different themes! They also have the best balloons and we used the adorable panda balloons on either side of the table. Next time you have a party head to her instagram for some major inspiration! (HERE)
If you thought you’d seen adorable cookies you haven’t seen this set! Lucky for me Lindsay lives just a few blocks away and runs Vanilla Bean Bakery from her home. The talent Lindsay has is amazing! I sent her some images of the invites, party decor and inspiration and these are what she came up with! Amazing, right?! She created so many different shapes and sizes including Ariella’s name and age.
On the day of the party the kids and I made up these desert cups because Ariella’s doesn’t like cake (crazy girl. lol). I bought some chocolate pudding, cool whip, marshmallows and oreo’s and layered it all. Super easy and the kids seemed to enjoy them! (Pinterest has so many amazing desert cup recipes!)
I loaded up the car and picked up the balloons on the way to the party. We had 30mins to set up at Excel Martial Arts as there was a party scheduled before us. I was a bit nervous about having enough time but I can not thank the team at Excel enough for all their help! I’m not kidding when I say this was the easiest and most enjoyable party we have hosted! All the kids enjoyed themselves and we (Brody and I) got to sit back and watch all these children have the best time! The leaders were so engaged with the children and had 2 hours full of activities for them. When it was time to eat they provided the Pizza and helped serve it all. I defiantly would recommend hosting a party here if you haven’t already! That night I received so many texts from Mothers whose children couldn’t stop talking about how much fun they had!
