Just like many rooms in our home, my master bedroom is a work in progress. If I waited until it was complete I’m pretty sure I would never share it because I love changing things up. In our previous home we had dark grey walls so for this room a light cool grey was the first choice. The color paint on the walls is Paper White by Benjamin Moore. All the trim in our home is Simply White by Benjamin Moore. My bedroom really is a place to escape and relax. The room is very neutral but doesn’t feel sterile because of all the different textures used in the room. I’m sharing sharing just part of our bedroom as the other half isn’t complete! I would love to have a large area rug under the bed and art from Minted. When I finish the other side of the bedroom I’ll be sure to share!
Our current home isn’t a “forever home” so when I picked out our bed I didn’t want to buy one for this home. It may all be a bit more grey then I would like but I always dream of wallpaper behind our headboard to add some contrast. Some of my very favorite wallpapers sources are Serena & Lily, The Cross Design, Lulu and Georgia and Anthropologie. Some of the items in our bedroom are a splurge and some we saved on. Our curtains are defiantly a save! I love the look of heavy lenin drapes but didn’t want to spend almost a thousand dollars on them. You’ll notice I still need to hem these but they give me the look for a lot less. Ikea for the win with these! For just $3o Canadian for a pair I bought 3 sets of the Ritva Curtains to do my bedroom. I have two panels on either side of my larger window to create a fuller effect. You can hang these curtains many different ways but to get the pleated look I used the Riktig curtain hooks. Curtains made our room more cozy as our bedroom is very large.
