White Lighting Favorites

It’s not hard to tell that I’m in love with white but my love for white lighting is next level. We have 4 white chandeliers in our home and years later I am still in love with them. They aren’t hard to keep clean as the dust doesn’t show up on them like black lighting. We get asked a lot about the white orb chandelier in our dining room and it’s been so fun to style. I was able to find the exact light HERE. The chandelier in our front entrance is the Parson 4 Light Chandelier but it’s sadly…

Painting my Piano

Let me start off by saying if you’ve ever wanted to paint your piano, do it! It really only took 3 hours of painting and the drying time was so quick that I did 4 coats total in 2 days. 3 coats of the Succulent Chalk Paint by SHELTER because I did thin coats and 1 top Satin varnish. No tapping was done for the keys as I just bought a small paint brush and pushed the keys down and painted behind. I’ve used many chalk paints before and I LOVE this SHELTER chalk paint. I only used 2/3rds of…

Simple Organized Pantry

Well I’m finally sharing our finished pantry! WOW I am embarrassed of the before. We moved 2.5 years ago and never had a pantry in our previous home so no containers or baskets were on hand. Before I had the sideboard in the dining area I had all my china and vases in the pantry as well. The pantry was packed with so much stuff it was impossible to a “organize” it all. I would often clean out the pantry but with no containers it would “blow up” quickly into this mess (insert hubby and children…okay and me)! With so…

Bright White Kitchen Reveal

Two and half years later and I’m finally posting our kitchen reveal and all its details. It won’t be the nicest or largest kitchen you ever did see but it’s perfect for us at this stage of our lives. A little background about our home is we built it 2.5 years ago when we moved from our townhouse just a few blocks away. We were on a major budget and I could tell you of all the things I wanted but couldn’t have in this home. But when I think of where we came from I’m so grateful for what…

Master Bedroom – a work in progress

Just like many rooms in our home, my master bedroom is a work in progress. If I waited until it was complete I’m pretty sure I would never share it because I love changing things up. In our previous home we had dark grey walls so for this room a light cool grey was the first choice. The color paint on the walls is Paper White by Benjamin Moore. All the trim in our home is Simply White by Benjamin Moore. My bedroom really is a place to escape and relax. The room is very neutral but doesn’t feel sterile…
